Uozu Aquarium is the only aquarium in the prefecture in Uozu City, Toyama Prefecture, which has permanent exhibits of aquatic organisms. It was first opened on the Sea of Japan side in 1913.
The basic themes are "From the mountain streams of the Northern Alps to the deep seas of the Sea of Japan" and "Science of the Sea of Japan", from freshwater fish living in the rapids of Toyama Prefecture to the rapids.
On display are creatures living on the coast, offshore and deep seas of the Sea of Japan.
In addition, there are feeding shows by divers and shows such as fish "rings" and "flag pulling".
