Strolling the houses of Senbonkaku and visiting the Buddha hall of Zuiryu-ji Temple
The journey begins at Kanayacho, about 35 minutes by car from the hotel. It is the birthplace of Takaoka's casting, and the house of a thousand grate and the cobblestones laid with copper pieces have a beautiful appearance. There is also a workshop where you can experience casting and a shop where you can experience making tin accessories, so you can enjoy Takaoka's traditional crafts directly. Ainokura Gassho-zukuri Village
About 35 minutes by car from Shogawa Gorge. There are 20 gassho-style houses in the Ainokura Gassho-style village, which was registered as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site at the same time as Shirakawa-go in Gifu Prefecture. There are many attractions such as the primitive gassho, which is the only prototype of the gassho-zukuri that remains in Mt. Goka, the gassho-zukuri houses of various sizes, and thatched temples. People are still living in the village, and old-fashioned life is still alive.
