Stroll through the houses of a thousand lattices and visit the Buddha Hall of Zuiryuji Temple
The journey begins at Kanayacho, a 35-minute drive from the hotel to Kanayacho. In the birthplace of Takaoka's casting, the houses of 1,000 lattices and cobblestones with copper pieces have a beautiful appearance. There is also a workshop where you can experience making castings and shops where you can experience making tin accessories, so you can directly enjoy Takaoka's traditional crafts. If you have time, why not visit Zuiryuji Temple, which has been designated as a national treasure?

Ainokura Gassho-zukuri Village
About 35 minutes by car from Shogawa Gorge. In the Ainokura Gassho-zukuri Village, which was registered as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site at the same time as Shirakawa-go in Gifu Prefecture, 20 Gassho-style houses still exist. There are many places to see, such as the primordial gassho, which is the only prototype of the gassho-style building that remains on Mt. Goka, Gassho-style houses of various sizes, and thatched temples. People are still living in the village, and the old-fashioned life is still alive.
