Toyama City Glass Museum

Toyama City is known as a world-famous glass city, and based on the Toyama Glass Institute and the Toyama Glass Studio, we support the development and production activities of glass artists. The Toyama Glass Museum symbolizes this rich glass culture. This museum is located in the central city area of Toyama City, and was born as the culmination of town development on the theme of glass.

The building of the museum was designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Sumi, and by combining different materials such as granite, glass, and aluminum, it has a unique appearance reminiscent of the expressive Tateyama Mountain Range. The museum can be accessed by attractive trams with the latest models and retro vehicles, and the movement itself is one of the pleasures.
