Toyama Glass Museum

Toyama City is known as a world-famous glass city, and based on the Toyama Glass Art Institute and the Toyama Glass Studio, we support the development and production of glass artists. The Toyama Glass Museum symbolizes this rich glass culture. This museum is located in the central city area of Toyama City, and was born as a culmination of town development with the theme of glass.

The building of the museum is designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Sumi, and combines different materials such as granite, glass, and aluminum to create a unique appearance reminiscent of the expressive Tateyama Mountain Range. The museum can be accessed by attractive trams with the latest models and retro vehicles, and the movement itself is one of the pleasures.
